Please be aware of our special arrangments during COVID-19

We’re pleased to let you know that Oakwell Hall is now open to visitors at weekends, and Tuesday to Thursday during the Kirklees school summer holidays, between 12 pm and 4 pm each day.

To ensure your safety and the safety of our staff, we have been busy behind the scenes putting additional measures in place.

Here’s what you can expect when you visit us:

Entry is now free for everyone.

To keep everyone safe, we need to limit the number of people in the Hall to a maximum group size of 6 people. At busier times, there may be a short, socially-distanced queue to get in.

All visitors are required to wear masks or face coverings, unless exempt for medical reasons

When you enter the hall, we will ask all parties to leave a lead contact name and number in accordance with NHS Test and Trace guidance.

We have installed hand sanitiser points outside the hall and protective Perspex screens for our staff

There is a one-way route throughout the Hall.

The capacity of each room will be limited to one group or social bubble

We have temporarily removed our costumes and other interactive elements

We have increased our levels of cleaning each day

Facilities and Shop

The Visitor Centre toilets are open from 10 am – 4 pm and we are operating a one-in, one-out queuing system

Our shop is open daily from 10 am-4 pm, selling gifts, locally made crafts, snacks and ice cream. In order to limit capacity, there may be short queues.

All shop customers are required to wear masks or face coverings, unless exempt for medical reasons

We are only able to accept card payments

We have installed a hand sanitiser points outside the shop and protective Perspex screens for our staff

Our car parks are open. The Bradford Road car park is open 24 hours a day, and the Visitor Centre car park from 9 am – 5 pm.
